INTERNSHIP PROCEDURES

The student who wants to do an internship must have taken the relevant internship course in the curriculum in the semester they want to do an internship.

PROCEDURES TO BE DONE BEFORE INTERNSHIP

Internship Acceptance Procedures
These procedures must be done by the student himself/herself.
The student should contact the relevant company/factories.
It is recommended to apply to more than one company in case of a negative response.
The student must provide the documents (transcripts, certificates, exam results, etc.) requested by the company and take the exams/interviews requested by the company.

Filling out the Compulsory Internship Form

This process must be done by the student who has received acceptance from the company for internship.
The relevant places on the Compulsory Internship Form must be filled in by the student and the photo must be affixed as in the sample form below.
Then, the Compulsory Internship Form must be approved by sending it to the Faculty of Engineering Student Affairs by hand or e-mail.
The prepared Compulsory Internship Form is approved by the relevant company where the internship is accepted.
Internship dates are determined with the relevant company, taking into account official holidays.

These procedures must be done by the student himself/herself.
The completed Compulsory Internship Form must be submitted to the department internship commission on the announced date and by the announced method (mail/hand).
If the internship will be done on Saturdays, the following “6 Day Form” must be approved by the relevant company and submitted to the department internship commission together with the Compulsory Internship Form.

Insurance Login

These procedures will be carried out by the Department Internship Commission and the Faculty of Engineering Student Affairs.
In order to make an insurance entry, the accepted workplace must be approved by the Department Internship Commission.
Compulsory Internship Forms without any missing/error in the student information, internship dates or signature/stamp sections are sent to student affairs for 'Work Accident and Occupational Diseases Insurance' entry.

Starting Internship

The student must provide the Internship Registration Slip (from the department website), Insurance Entry Declaration (from e-government) and other documents requested by the company to be interned and submit them to the company and start the internship.
It is not necessary to have the Internship Registration Form approved by the student affairs before starting the internship.

PROCEDURES TO BE PERFORMED DURING INTERNSHIP
The student complies with all the rules of the workplace and fulfills the duties assigned by the internship supervisor.
The student goes to the internship regularly for 25 working days and does internship in the relevant departments for the specified number of days.
The student pays utmost attention to occupational health and safety issues during the internship.
The student requests jobs related to the profession from the authorities, fills out the internship report day by day and regularly.
Passive sentences are used when filling out the internship report, and what they have learned is transferred in detail to the report in technical language.
The internship place should not be left without permission, even to come to the University.
Inappropriate behavior at the workplace requires the implementation of the student disciplinary regulations. In this case, the student's internship may not be accepted.

Internship Contents

ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN AFTER THE INTERNSHIP

Students who have successfully completed their internship must fill out the 6 forms numbered below and submit them to the relevant department internship officer on the announced dates. However, students who are in graduation status can enter the internship evaluation by submitting their internship documents to the department internship supervisor as soon as their internship is over.
The relevant parts of the internship report are signed by the internship supervisor.
“Internship Registration Slip” and ‘Employer's Intern Evaluation Questionnaire’ must be approved by the internship supervisor and must be received in a sealed envelope with the stamp of the institution on the envelope.
